The project will improve the infrastructure around the West Mains, Westfield and Middlefield Areas both vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists.
The new road infrastructure will improve access to the Falkirk Gateway development site, Falkirk Stadium, the Helix and Kelpies Hub, and Forth Valley College.
The Falkirk Gateway development will see a 27 acre area adjacent to the College and the Stadium transformed with an ‘ambitious’ scheme featuring a mix of 100 new homes, a pub/restaurant and a 120-bedroom hotel.
More than 120,000 sq. ft. of commercial floorspace is planned as part of Falkirk Gateway providing new retail and leisure facilities as part of a package of initiatives to support the ongoing regeneration and development of Falkirk. It is expected the development will create upwards of 400 full and part-time jobs in the construction, retail, office, and hospitality and leisure sectors.
The project is being delivered for client Falkirk Council by Balfour Beatty with design services from WSP consultancy
