Another key milestone has been reached, as the existing Midthorn bridge structure has been demolished and the new carriageway construction, linking the new Westbound carriageway from Westmains to Westfield is progressing.
Works continue in the Laurieston Road section following the diversion of existing utilities.
Surfacing works are ongoing in the section from Westfield, Westbound. This will facilitate the re-opening of Alexander Avenue following the completion of carriageway and new footpath surfacing.
Re-surfacing works have been carried out from Earl Gate towards the new Westmains roundabout. Following this, traffic is now running on the new surface.
