Band Drain (PVD) installation has been completed across various areas of the site. These areas will be surcharged over the coming months with imported material to impose the required load to allow consolidation of the existing below ground material to take place for a period of approximately 6 months. Following the consolidation period, the new carriageway construction can recommence.
The construction of the permanent drainage ponds and swales for the initial phase have been completed.
The construction of new embankments for the new carriageway and footway has commence in various areas of the site and will progress over the coming period.
Works are due to commence on Earl’s Gate Roundbout, the A904 and the A9 starting on the night of 6th May 2024 for approximately 4 weeks. These works are mainly in preparation for the installation of the first phase of traffic management which enables the offline construction of the new carriageway and will require various differing traffic management schemes throughout the duration.
