The construction of the permanent drainage ponds and swales continues with a number of these completed over the last few weeks.
Works have re-commenced within the Stadium round about to Westfield roundabout section of the A9, with the installation of Prefabricated vertical drains (PVD), also known as Band drains. These act as drainage paths to take pore water out of soft compressible soils to allow faster consolidation under a constant surcharge load. This process is required prior to the construction of the proposed new carriageway. The band drain installation will continue to move around various areas of the site where stone platforms are visible already throughout the next few weeks.
