Following completion of the surfacing works on the westbound carriageway the Alexander Avenue junction re-opened and 1 lane of traffic is now operational in both directions from Westfield to Middlefield.
Laurieston Road approach to Westmains has progressed with traffic due to be on the new carriageway in the near future.
The new Westbound carriageway from Westmains to Westfield has progressed well with final surfacing ongoing.
The next milestone for the project should see the Westbound carriageway open to traffic having 1 lane operational in each direction.
Following the completion of the Laurieston Road junction, the new Westmains roundabout will become operation as a circulatory roundabout.
